Our monthly novice group ride starts from the car park behind the Iceland Store and Santander Bank in Billericay High Street. Leaving the car park at 9am for a 30-35 mile ride at 12-14 mph average speed travelling through quiet country lanes with a refreshment stop at the Tiptree Writtle Tea Rooms before returning back to the start point at Billericay High Street.

We recommend you bring a drink, spare inner tube, pump and multi tool as well as suitable clothing for the conditions, Whilst a road bike is advantageous a hybrid bike or cyclocross / gravel bike will also be suitable. These rides will only be cancelled if there is ice, fog or any adverse weather conditions on the day. We do ride in the rain and it’s recommended you have adequate front and rear lighting for rainy days or for winter days when the light conditions are poor in the mornings. Please check our website on the morning of your ride for any updates regarding cancellation due to adverse weather conditions.
